Why I Choose to Date Older Women – Singer Chike Explains

Written by Keji Evelyn

Nigerian singer Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka, popularly known as Chike, has opened up about his preference for older women in a recent episode of the Unpack Podcast hosted by NAY.

The ‘Running To You’ crooner explained that his preference stems from his belief that most women are only able to communicate properly when they are “slightly advanced in age.” He expressed his frustration with younger women, particularly those around the age of 23, who he feels are more interested in social media validation than meaningful communication.

“Imagine I’m running around with some 23-year-old, what’s she going to handle? What’s she going to understand? She just wants to take pictures and be on Instagram and tell everybody that she’s dating you,” Chike said.

He acknowledged that there are mature younger women, but he believes they are rare. He added that men often end up dating older women because they offer a certain level of peace that younger women cannot provide.

“The past two relationships I have been in, they [my partners] have been older than me. There is no small girl that can say I am dating her,” Chike revealed.

He further clarified that the only younger women he can converse with are career women who are dedicated and trying to achieve something, not those who are not doing anything. This revelation provides an insight into the singer’s personal life and his views on relationships.
