Tonto Dikeh Stands with Iyabo Ojo in N500m Lawsuit Battle with Naira Marley

Prominent Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has publicly declared her support for fellow actress, Iyabo Ojo, amidst a N500 million lawsuit filed by singer Naira Marley.

Last Thursday, Naira Marley, through his lawyer, Olalekan Ojo, accused Iyabo Ojo of spreading false and defamatory content about him on social media. He demanded a public apology from Ojo, along with a redress of N500 million.

In response to the lawsuit, Iyabo Ojo filed a counterclaim of N1 billion. In a letter dated December 18, 2023, addressed to Naira Marley’s lawyers, the actress’s legal representative stated that the singer’s assertions in his lawsuit were “misleading” and had not been served to their client.

On Tuesday, Tonto Dikeh took to her Instagram page to express her solidarity with Iyabo Ojo. Sharing a copy of Iyabo’s N1 billion counterclaim, Dikeh wrote, “We started together, we end it together. Regardless.”

This public show of support from Dikeh underscores the unity within the Nollywood community as they navigate this high-profile legal dispute.
